SAFE BOATING INFORMATION

Safety is our number one priority for you and your crew out on the water; and getting a head start, before your trip, is now easier than ever. To help you get ready for smooth waters, we encourage you to take a boater safety course. We know boater education can save lives and reduce accidents and injuries on the water. Safety for Boaters:

Before going out on the water, check weather forecasts and look for storm warning flags at the marinas If a storm breaks while you are out, seek shelter in a protected cove immediately and wait until the storm passes. Lightning is also a hazard on open water.

Water levels in Lake Nacimiento change throughout the year. Always approach the shore with caution and watch for shallows and submerged debris.

Many persons who drown never intended to enter the water. Always wear a life jacket. All boaters must have required safety equipment onboard their boat.

Distances to islands, buoys, and across coves are easily underestimated. Don’t overestimate your abilities. Air mattresses and other inflatables can blow away, leaving you stranded far from shore. Never rely on an inflatable device as a life jacket. Always wear a life jacket when swimming, fishing, or playing in the lake.

Safety for Water-skiers, wakeboarders, and tubers:

Skiiers, wakeboarders and anyone being towed by a motorized vessel must wear a life jacket. An observer must accompany the boat operator and display a ski flag when a skier is in the water.

Scuba Diving:

Lake Nacimiento is often highlighted as one of the top freshwater lakes in the world for scuba diving. The lake offers a range of depths and submerged sites for both novice and technical divers. Please note that fluctuating lake water constantly changes dive location conditions. Scuba divers must fly a diver’s flag.

Marina Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations to vessel reservations should be made 48 hours (2 days) prior to the arrival date. All reservation cancellations requested 48 hours or more days in advance, are subject to a $60 cancellation fee, per vessel. Any cancellation or refund request within 2 days of arrival date is non-refundable. Processing fees are non-refundable. RESERVATIONS MADE WITHIN THE 48 PERIOD OF ARRIVAL ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

The Resort offers accommodations of every style. Small and Large Lodges, and a quaint Naci Cottage – all with scenic views of the lake. Self-contained RV rental trailers are also available for those who enjoy the outdoors but with the convenience of refrigerators and air conditioning during the hot summer season and heaters for those crisp winter nights. Lake Nacimiento Resort also has ADA accommodations, but unfortunately, they are limited due to the natural terrain of the Resort. If you are interested in Lake Nacimiento’s ADA resources, please contact our reservations office and our staff would be happy to give you further information.

Open daily 8am – 4pm

There is a 2-night minimum on weekends and a 3-night minimum on major holidays and special events like the popular Wildflower Weekend, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekend. Guests may check into their accommodations at 3pm; checkout is at 11am. Staff can sometimes arrange for later checkout times, depending on the time of year and availability of the unit, though some additional fees may apply. Security deposits and pet deposits (where applicable) are required and full payment should be made upon booking a reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY (CABINS + RVS)

Cancellations and changes to lodging reservations should be made 15 days prior to the arrival date. All reservation cancellations requested 15 or more days in advance, are subject to a $60 cancellation fee, per reservation. Changes in reservation dates and accommodations will be subject to a $25 change fee, per request (two requests maximum). Any cancellation or refund request within 14 days of arrival date is non-refundable for the entire amount of the reservation, including add-ons.

A full refund will be granted if reservation(s) are canceled within 24 hours of booking, unless the arrival date is within 72 hours. Additional provisions may apply. Please call for more information at 805-237-4924, option 1.

CANCELLATION POLICY (CAMPING)

Cancellations and changes to camping reservations should be made 8 days prior to the arrival date. All cancellation requests made 8 days prior to the arrival date will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee, per campsite, not to exceed $100. All change requests are subject to a $25 change fee, per request (two request maximum). Any cancellation requests within 7 days of the arrival date are non-refundable.

Arrival / Departure Policy:

All campsite reservations that have not arrived by 10:00 am the day after the scheduled arrival date, will be released to first come, first serve. Please notify the reservations office of any late arrivals to avoid release. For questions, please call 805-237-4929 opt. 1

Discounts:

Senior, Active Military, and Distinguished Veteran discounts are available. Multiple discounts are not allowed. Discounts are available as space permits. Discounts are not valid during Off-Season (Oct. 1 – Apr. 30) and special events.

*All reservations and purchase requests (i.e. Annual Boat Pass, ADUP, etc.) are subject to a non-refundable $10 Processing Fee

ADDITIONAL POLICIES

Prices are subject to change without notice.
Check-in time: 3:00 pm. Check-out time: 11:00 am.
Pet-friendly lodging units subject to availability. Non-refundable pet fee of $25 per pet/night applies.
Full rental payment is due upon rental reservation.
Security deposit is collected day of rental.
Anyone exceeding the maximum number of occupancy will be subject to a $75 fee per person, per night and possible eviction.
Adjoining rooms are available.
Boats require invasive species inspection.

PET POLICY

We have a limited number of pet-friendly units available. An additional deposit will be required.

Be advised: If bringing your furry companion results in additional housekeeping procedures and/or damages (i.e. excessive dog hair, muddy paws, scratched furniture/walls, etc.), forfeiture of part, or all, of the security deposit will be enforced.
